The challenge
A group project based on an assigned brief to strengthen the connection between students and life after graduation. We developed COLLAB, a networking platform for design students, alumni and teachers to connect, collaborate on creative cases, build their portfolios and expand their professional networks.
Process
- 01
Brainstorming & Concept Development
Exploring how to bridge the gap between studying and professional life, defining the platform's purpose, target audience and key features.
- 02
User Interviews
Interviewing people within the target group to better understand their needs and how they connect with others today.
- 03
Information Architecture & Wireframing
Planning the platform's structure, content and navigation, translating our ideas into wireframes and defining how users would interact with the platform.
- 04
High-Fidelity UI Design
Developing the visual identity and interface, refining layouts, typography, colors and components to create a consistent user experience.
- 05
Prototyping & Refinement
Bringing the designs together in an interactive prototype and refining the user flows to demonstrate how users could connect and collaborate through COLLAB.
Outcome
A high-fidelity prototype of COLLAB, a networking platform designed to connect design students, alumni and teachers through creative collaboration and portfolio-building opportunities.
