About
I have a strong interest in user-centered design. I enjoy working with both the visual side of design and the thinking behind it.
What started as curiosity for digital design a couple of years ago, quickly became a passion. Today, I’m studying Digital Media Production at Umeå University while continuing to explore UX/UI, web design, and modern digital experiences.
With a planned graduation in 2027, I’m looking forward to taking the next step and bringing what I’ve learned into real-world projects. I want to keep learning and continue developing as a designer while creating digital experiences that are thoughtful, clear and useful.
Through my education I’ve also gotten to try a lot of different things, like animation, 3D design and editing, which means I have an understanding of many different digital tools. That said, the focus areas listed below are where I thrive most and where my passion truly lies.
DESIGN FOCUS
I start with the problem and work out through flows, hierarchy and states, then the details that decide how something feels. My focus is on what the client and their users actually need, while keeping the design modern.
I start with the content and work out through layout, typography and spacing, then the details that decide how a page reads. My focus is on sites that hold together on every screen and still look intentional.
I tend to use Figma throughout the entire design process, from structuring user flows to creating wireframes, designing high-fidelity interfaces, building interactive prototypes and refining user experiences. I'm comfortable working with components, auto layout and prototyping to turn early concepts into well-developed digital experiences.
I know HTML and CSS and have a basic understanding of JavaScript, so I get what a design asks of a developer and can talk through what's actually possible.
I use AI tools to move faster in research, ideation and iteration, while keeping the decisions my own. This portfolio was itself created with AI prompting.
I have a solid understanding of SEO and digital experience — how a page gets found, and how people move through it once it's live. It's a subject I keep looking deeper into.
Through my degree programme, I’ve had the opportunity to explore several Adobe Creative Cloud tools, including Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere Pro for video editing.
